Stop the Baucus Health Care Bill!

A key vote on the future of government-run health care will take place this week.

You can help stop the President's government-run Public Option Plan with your calls today!

Last week, Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT) unveiled a health care plan that was universally panned by both Republicans and Democrats across the board. In response, members of the Senate Finance Committee have proposed 564 amendments to the legislation, many of which could negatively impact patients' rights for years to come.

One such amendment is proposed by Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) that would establish a government-run system and take choice out of the health care debate. The vote on this particular amendment will be crucial in determining the future of patients' rights.

The fate of the Rockefeller government-run amendment lies in the hands of the 23 Senators on the Senate Finance Committee and we need your help today!

According to Gallup, 57 percent of Americans think that the "government is trying to do too many things that should be left to businesses and individuals." Poll after poll, town hall meeting after town hall meeting, and the message is clear: the American people do not want a government-run health care! Pres. Obama and liberals have already proven their willingness to say and do anything to resurrect the government-option, so we can't take anything for granted.

Please contact your Senator today to reiterate how important it is to vote down a government-run option! You can help by:

  • Calling or emailing your Senator asking that he/she vote NO on the Rockefeller government-run amendment

  • Contacting your friends and neighbors encouraging that they do the same

  • Signing CPR's petition standing up against a government takeover in America
